A useful garden that adapts to its users.
The new project for the residence of Vallparc, is an opportunity to give a useful value to outdoor spaces and not simply an ornamental value. Inserted in the foothills of Collserolla, the project seeks to integrate the building into the Mediterranean forest environment.
The gardens were t thought and designed to generate impulses according to the requirements of each resident, the garden is adapted for each need.
Two types of users are recognized, each with different dependency requirements. As a result, spaces were created for each of them: a shadow space, with a more tropical and orderly vegetation treatment that claims to be a more controlled but relaxing environment; and a space of "sun" less structured and experimental, which seeks constant interaction with it as the vegetation changes throughout the year.
The circulation through the spaces had to be given in a natural and comfortable way for the user, so that spaces with organic forms and accessible to all were generated. And finally, the interaction of users and visitors with the planted parts was also prioritized to forge a feeling of belonging, a "own your spaces".
