A new city model that allows people to live in inhospitable environments.
The Triennale of Milan foundation had dedicated the fall exposition of 2014 to the architecture on Africa, the motive, illustrate the dynamics of the big cities on Africa, and the transformations from an economical, urban and landscape point of view.
Africa is presented as a real field of experimentation that is of great importance for the growth of its economy. Our reflection starts from creating a model to enable the construction of cities in the desert. To do this, we must start from creating a micro-climate based always on the sustainability of the whole. The conception of this city proposes a contemporary way of inhabiting this inhospitable environment.
The city creates topographies that direct the winds, refreshing them with vegetation and water, so they move into the common spaces and comfort them. The landscape, therefore, is associated with the city to create its own micro-climate that organizes the life of the city.
