Generate contrasts between the interior and exterior.

Inhabiting areas with temperatures as extremes as Kuwait’s means taking as a model the oasis and the Islamic garden. The use of vegetation and water are central elements in their structures. The idea for this garden is based precisely on these two elements.

In this project we use the vegetation in two directions axes. In the horizontal axis, the vegetation is projected as frames or layers, playing with the heights and dispositions to produce a visual richness and incorporate the view of the garden into the interior of the house. Outside, a drier vegetation with minimal maintenance will be used. A large bougainvillea screen will blossom giving a touch of color that highlights the house, but also will give privacy to the interior garden keeping it permeable to the wind.

The green layers will create shaded spaces recreating the oasis effect. The plants and the pergolas will filter the sun and reduce the temperature, the humidity is maintained thanks to the evapotranspiration of the vegetation. All of these will improve the climatic conditions and freshener atmosphere.

In the vertical axis, the vegetation adapts to the floor where it is located, depending on its level of insolation. In the basement patios we use more exuberant and shade plants, and as they go up a more resistant vegetation.
